Mayor James Damiano invites you to attend a State of New Jersey Flood Information Program

WHO: Little Falls Residents

PURPOSE: State Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Recovery & Rebuilding will be on site to inform residents about the disaster recovery process.

Representatives will explain the process to apply for federal assistance if it is made available, and will explain the realities and the likelihood of securing funding, either in the form of grants or low interest loans. There will also be representatives from the Department of Banking and Insurance who can provide information pertaining to the process to challenge any denied insurance claims, and answer any insurance related questions. Also on hand will be a representative from the State Attorney Generals Office and Consumer Affairs to provide information pertaining to contractors and possible price gouging that homeowners may see following a flood when looking to be seeking to remediate flood damage. During this session, the representatives will also discuss other avenues of relief including non-profit agencies who may be able to provide assistance.

As a reminder, please continue to keep an inventory and take pictures of all damaged items to have any possibility of prevailing on a claim to prove your losses.
