The Passaic County American Legion, Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department is sponsoring a five-day series of events celebrating the installation of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall at Garret Mountain Reservation, 8 Mountain Ave. in Woodland Park. The Event kicks off at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 9th with the Procession of the Moving Wall to Garret Mountain, followed at 6 pm by the Opening Ceremony.
The Moving Wall will be open for viewing all day on Friday, May 10th; it will be open to the public from dawn until dusk and veterans will have 24 hour access.
Saturday, May 11th will feature a Dedication Ceremony at 10:00 am followed by a Concert at the Park from 2:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
There will be an American Legion Memorial Service on Sunday, May 12th at 12:00 PM. The Conclusion of the Moving Wall Event will take place on Monday, May 13th at 11:00 am.
