Free Zika Virus Prevention Kit

This special kit from the Passaic County Department of Health and New Jersey Department of Health is designed to help you protect yourself and your baby from Zika Virus.

WHAT IS ZIKA?
Zika is a viral infection usually spread through the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito. Zika can also spread from an infected man or woman to his or her sex partners and from a pregnant woman to her unborn baby.

  • Rash
  • Red Eyes
  • Headache
  • Muscle Pain

HOW CAN YOU AVOID ZIKA?

  • Avoid mosquito bites!
  • Use insect repellent
  • Cover your skin
  • Mosquito-proof your home
  • Avoid travel to areas with ongoing Zika virus transmission
