The 1st quarter taxes are due February 1, 2023; grace period extended to February 13, 2023, during hours below.
The Tax Collector’s public hours for tax payments and questions are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Hours are subject to closures for daily breaks, lunch break, and other out-of-office duties when required.
Besides paying at the counter during the hours listed above you can also:
- Pay online @ www.lfnj.com; Tax Collector; PAY ONLINE TAXES HERE; you may also view taxes online at same website above VIEW TAXES HERE. Payments online are reflected/calculated through 7:59 p.m. Mon – Fridays, Sat., Sun. and holidays are on the next business day and with interest if applicable.
- Payment drop box located by rear entry of the building. When using this option please include checks only along with your tax stub (NO CASH); your check is your receipt; if you need a tax receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope. If no stub please write your block, lot, qual. on your check for proper posting/depositing. PLEASE put your stub and check inside a sealed envelope marked Tax Collector. ALL payments received after 3:00 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. and after 12:00 p.m. on Fridays will be posted on the next business day. Interest will be applied to ALL tax payments received after 3:00 p.m. on February 13th.
- Mail your taxes to and allow at least seven business days before grace period ends (postmarks are not accepted):
