PSE&G to upgrade aging gas pipes in Little Falls

Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G) will be working in Little Falls to replace a little over a half mile of old gas pipes with new piping – ensuring a continued safe, clean and reliable gas system well into the future. Beginning in early July, work will take place Monday through Friday (with the possibility of Saturday work) between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, weather permitting.

The following streets will be impacted by the work that Public Service is doing to replace gas mains as well as upgrading the house service lines;
Madison Ave
Harrison Street
Jackson Street
Cedar Street
Willow Ave
Oak Place

Ryle Ave has a new gas main, but they are planning on upgrading the house service on this street.

The signs they have posted for No Parking say 8AM until 5PM, although they have worked as late as 8PM.

If you need any other information, please contact DPW Superintendent Phil Simone.

The gas main replacement portion of the work is expected to be complete by September. The paving and street restoration is expected to be completed in spring of 2018.
