Paving of Ridge Road from Francisco Ave to the Cedar Grove border

The county inspector has informed the DPW that the contractor will start milling and paving Ridge Rd. on Wednesday, June 29th at 9 AM. Ridge Road will be closed in both directions during the work on this roadway.

NJDOT Traffic Project Updates

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is undertaking a project to reconstruct the Route 3, Route 46, Valley Road and Notch/Rifle Camp Road Interchanges to correct existing operational and safety problems along the Route 3 and Route 46 corridor as these existing problems have resulted in a high occurrence of accidents and chronic bottlenecks. Construction for Part A of the project is anticipated to continue until July 2018. The contract for Part B is in the Final Design Phase.

Summer 2016 Summer Reading Program at the Little Falls Public Library

The Little Falls Public Library will kick off its Summer Reading Program, “Ready, Set, Read!” on Wednesday, June 15th at 7 PM with a performance by Magician Michael Healy. Michael Healy’s magic is sure to mesmerize and amaze you! There is no registration required for this family event.

Be one of the first 100 kids to sign up for our reading program and you will receive a “Get in the Game-READ” string backpack filled with a summer calendar, reading log and more.

Young Writers’ Workshop Begins July 7th

Join professional writing consultants from Montclair State University’s Center for Writing Excellence for a five week creative writing workshop. Workshop will meet on Thursdays from July 7th to August 4th at 4 PM at the Little Falls Public Library. Library Hosts “Paint Night” at LF Woman’s Club on July 15th

Have fun painting with friends at Paint Night presented by the Little Falls Public Library on July 15 at 7 PM. Choose your own painting with Pencilworks Studio. Bring your own beverages and snacks, beer and wine permitted. Cost is $40 per person or 2 for $75, cash or check.

The event is a fundraiser for the Little Falls Public Library and will be held at the Little Falls Woman’s Club, 93 Prospect Street, Little Falls. To reserve your spot, stop in the Library, 8 Warren Street. Call 973-256-2784 for more information.

Historical Morris Canal Heritage Artisan Festival set for Sunday, August 28

Little Falls ABC Presents an Artisan Festival at the Historic Morris Canal Park from 9:30 am-5 pm on Sunday, August 28. It promises to be a wonderful day. Events include a White Tent Historical Event. 70 artists, crafters, sculptures, wood crafters and more will exhibit and sell their works. There will be musicians walking the pathway and an Art Teacher teaching children art on another path along with their exhibits. Food will be available.
