RECYCLABLE ITEMS

ALUMINUM CANS - Put loose, rinsed, drained cans into recycling roll-off marked for aluminum cans (soda, beer, etc.).
(Curbside collection see schedule for dates.)

APPLIANCES and METAL SCRAP - Refrigerators, stoves, washers, air conditioners, doors, pipes, fencing, gutters etc.
dropped off or picked up (a fee of $5.00 per item for pickup) paid in advance at the Recycling Office, Sindle Ave. (DPW
Yard) or Municipal Building, 225 Main Street, or mailed to the Township of Little Falls, 225 Main Street, Attn: Recycling
Dept. Pickups will be made within a couple of days once fee is paid.

BULK ITEMS - Large bulk items can be put out at curb 2nd (second) trash collection of the week. Two items per week.

CARDBOARD - Place in recycling compactor truck marked for cardboard. Cardboard shall consist of corrugated
cardboard and can include chipboard. Chipboard is cereal boxes, macaroni boxes, cake boxes, shoe boxes, etc. Pizza boxes
are recyclable. Bundle & tie cardboard. Do not include any cardboard item that is wax coated. (This should be put in the
garbage.) (Curbside collection - see schedule for dates.)

CLOTHES - Clothes can be placed in boxes available at the recycling center.

COMMINGLED CONTAINERS - Rinsed glass food and beverage containers (no window glass), tin and bi metal cans,
and plastic containers with #1 thru 7 put in recycling roll off marked for Commingled Containers. (Curbside collection - see
schedule for dates.) Containers with contents must weigh no more than 40 lbs.

ELECTRONICS - Computers, monitors, components, telephones, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, TVs, etc. may be
dropped off at the recycling center. Residents may also schedule a pick-up of these items by calling (973) 256-6815.
There is a $5.00 each pick up fee for TVs larger than 35 inches and/or console TVs.

GRASS - will be collected curbside in paper biodegradable bags only, SECTION I on Monday, SECTION II on Tuesday. Bags
must be out by 6 a.m. during grass season. Residents can also drop off their grass at the recycling center by the marked area.
NO PLASTIC BAGS. Bags with grass must weigh no more than 40 lbs. and ARE NOT to be placed in the street.

HOLIDAY TREES - Trees will be picked up curbside during the month of January as weather and schedule permits or residents
can drop them off at the Recycling Center in the marked area.

LEAVES - Leaves will be collected in paper biodegradable bags only. Section I will be collected on Monday, Section II will
be collected on Tuesday (must be to the curb by 6 a.m.). Bags will be picked up until snow is on ground. Residents can also
drop off their leaves at the recycling center by the marked area. NO PLASTIC BAGS. Bags with leaves must weigh no more
than 40 lbs. (Loose leaves are not permitted to be placed in street.)

REMINDER - Residents who use Landscapers, Yard Maintenance Firms and Individual Contractors working in Little Falls
must remove all debris resulting from their work.

MOTOR OIL - can be dropped off at the recycling center between 11 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. See attendant on duty for disposal.
If no attendant is present DO NOT drop off oil. DO NOT mix oil with anti-freeze or any other liquids.

MIXED NEWSPAPERS - Place in recycling roll-off or dumpster marked for newspapers.
Mixed newspapers shall consist of newspapers, magazines, junk mail, telephone books, paperback books, office paper,
school paper and brown bags, and chipboard (chipboard is cereal boxes, macaroni boxes, cake boxes, shoe boxes, etc.).
Bundle & tie newspapers. (Curbside collection - see schedule for dates.)

PAINTS, CHEMICALS, PROPANE TANKS, ETC. - We are not permitted by law to accept these items. Do not bring
these items to the recycling yard. Please caII the Passaic County Office of Recycling at 973-881-4506 for disposal information.

TIRES - Auto tires and small truck tires could be brought to the Recycling Center at Sindle Avenue.
FEES: Car tires - $4.00 per tire • Truck tires - $15.00 per tire

TREE BRANCHES - You must call 256-6815 to be put on schedule for pick-up. No longer than 10 feet in length, stack and
bundle neatly with ends in one direction. NO ROOTS. NO TREE STUMPS. Placed at the curb, NOT IN THE STREET.
