Used Bicycle, Sewing Machine & Laptop Collection

We’re collecting bikes and sewing machines to put to good use in developing countries like Ghana, Tanzania, Albania, Fiji and Guatemala!
Also partnering with Passaic County, Laptop Upcycle is committed to collecting, refurbishing, and distributing used laptops to local students to aid in their academic success in order to eliminate the achievement gap.

This event is being held on Sunday April 24 from 9:00AM - 12:00PM at the Woodland Park Municipal Complex 5 Brophy Lane, Woodland Park, NJ.

Used Bicycles & Sewing Machines:

  • Bikes should be rust free
  • No children’s tricycles
  • Bikes with flat tires or needing repairs will be accepted
  • Portable sewing machines must be working
  • Donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided on site

Used Laptops:

  • LU@R accepts donations of laptops and mobile WiFi hotspots
  • Laptops should have a processing speed is i5, its equivalent, or faster
  • All screens must be intact; no cracked or damaged screens
  • Laptops should have a built-in webcam
  • The laptop BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) should not be locked. If the BIOS on the laptop is locked, please have your corporate IT department unlock it
  • For Apple devices, the iCloud must be unlocked (users must sign out and disassociate their Apple ID with the device)
  • Laptops preferred five years or newer
